    Awesome vid and all but playing in 1080 just kills my computer so its only giving 5 fps or so. I wish hardware acceleration was out for macs...

    @MoN: What are you using? I'm using a 2008 Macbook (pre-unibody) and it seems to play just fine, fullscreen and all.

    Unless I'm not actually in 1080 and I don't realize it...

    I was wondering if this was going to impact my Panasonic Viera's VieraCast implementation of YouTube until I got to the end of the article. Whew!

    Now if Panny would just ditch Amazon Video in favor of Netflix...and fix that BS of not passing Dolby Digital from HDMI to the optical out.

    no matter Google throws at you guys, all of you will still find Google the non evil corporation.

    Sad but true.

    One decade later and you will all be remembering this. Chrome OS, android, gmail, wave.... etc. Its all free for a reason. Its all hosted up in the cloud for a reason.

    @Noobs-R-Us: Except that Google has to pay for the bandwidth for people using YouTube. The companies that are violating the TOS are essentially shafting Google. I don't really see a company trying to stop loss of money with no returns as evil.

    @Rogue Justice: Here's where some of you are wrong. Google needed these companies to help make Youtube popular. Now that they've gotten the traction they need, they want to dump those who helped them instead of trying to work something out. Yes, that's very not evil of Google.

    @Noobs-R-Us: I understand where you are coming from, but the analogy I'm gonna use is this: What if you own a house and your neighbor starts watering your lawn for you, without asking. You're happy at first and grateful to your neighbor. Then you realize that your neighbor is over-watering your lawn and killing it. Since, technically, your neighbor should never have started watering your lawn, you make them stop. Google basically thought that it was helping them, but have realized that it is now hurting them, so they want it to stop.

    Wait, what? What about internet connected TVs, like my Panny?I mean, it should go without saying that access to YouTube was the deciding factor in my $1,700 television purchase. And now that's gone? Thank God I still have the SD slot, so I can use it to look at family pictures............

    @met2art: I often catch a few of the dregs hoping to find something good, but that's not much different from having cable TV. The amount of crap usually outweighs the quality by a large margin, regardless of the medium.

    That said, Hulu and Co. will never show any of the repurposed classics, seen here.
