The 4GB S3 plays audio (MP3, WMA and OGG), video (MPEG4, SVI), JPEGs and even text. Like most other Samsung players, it has an FM radio and games. The coolest thing about the player, which comes in five colors, is the LED-lit controls that seem to disappear when you don't need them. Available for under $130 when it's released in June.[Samsung]

<![CDATA[ The Shiniest Pebble: Samsung's S2 MP3 Player ]]> On paper, the Samsung YP-S2 is just another shuffle-beater, a 1GB player for $39. But in person, it's the most stylish of its class, in five colors, including those below and a white with faux marble grain. (Sadly Samsung didn't have that one on hand.) It charges via a removable USB dongle that plugs right into the 35mm headphone jack, saving space—just don't lose the extra piece. It's not fully see-through, like Sony's similar OLED-screen MP3 players, but it does have a glowing multicolored LED that is supposed to indicate status. As you can see in the gallery, it's not totally fingerprint-proof, but $39 doesn't guarantee perfection. [Samsung]

<![CDATA[ Samsung YP-S3 Caught On Video ]]> Our female alter egos at Tech Digest just scored a video hands-on with Samsung's new YP-S3 MP3 player. The iPod nano rival should be out this June and is quite similar to its Cupertino competition, with a screen only 0.2-inches smaller and comparable music, photo and video playback abilities. The Samsung adds a built-in FM radio and a 2GB option to accompany the usual 4GB and 8GB models. [Tech Digest]

<![CDATA[ Samsung's YP-S2 Pebble MP3 Players Probably Hurt When Thrown ]]> These Samsung YP-S2 Pebble MP3 players look quite similar to the Creative Zen Stone (because they both look like small rocks), and hold about 1GB of MP3s and WMAs. They've got about 10 hours of playback, but don't do a whole lot else (other than looking and feeling like rocks). They'll be available in the UK around May, but no release date or pricing yet for the US. [Shiny Shiny]

<![CDATA[ Samsung has officially acknowledged the Bluetooth-enabled ... ]]> Samsung has officially acknowledged the Bluetooth-enabled YP-T10 and the YP-P2, though no pricing was discussed. Even more mysteriously, Samsung didn't announce the equally rumored YP-S5 at the same time.

<![CDATA[ Samsung YP-S5 and YP-T10 Work Double as Cellphone Bluetooth Headsets ]]> The image associated with this post is best viewed using a browser.Samsung's putting itself back in the game with these YP-S5 and YP-T10 digital audio players. Joining the other DAP official at IFA, that YP-P2. Like the P2, these two have Bluetooth for we'd assume audio streaming purposes...and according to that image above, at least the S5 can work as a Bluetooth dialpad and headset mixer for your cellphone. Cool.

The S5 has a speaker, making it seem like a natural follow up to the YP-K5 we'd looked at almost a year ago exactly. The YP-T10 is what I'd call one of those iPod Nano killer types, with the obvious digital audio, but check it out: MPEG 4/WMV video support, a voice recorder, and 30 hours of battery life. No word on pricing, or capacity, or even if these things are headed for the US, but DAPs of this caliber usually go wooooooooorld wiiiiiiiiiiiide. (echo, echo, echo.) [PocketLint]
