It is, of course, small in a relative sense, featuring as it does a 4.3-inche screen. Like other undersized Android phones, the guts are also a step down from the flagship version: a rumoured 1.4Ghz dual-core processor is all the Mini gets, rather than the pulsing quad-core beast that beats under the hood of the full-fat One. On the upside, the gorgeous design of Daddy One has carried over: the Mini apparently gets a metal facade, with only a plastic rim proving it’s the poor cousin.
The leak, while quite easily fake (it’s just one blurry photo, after all), matches up perfectly with two other sets of leaked shots of the same supposed handsets. If Engadget’s quoted launch date — the third quarter of this year — is accurate, though, chances are it’ll land too late to cause any serious ripples; the market isn’t exactly gagging for another cheap Android phone.
