Last night, 115 people summited Everest and returned safely. No deaths, no accidents. As I type this, another group is on its way, likely to have a similar level of success given the collective experience and knowledge of the group.
Too many people think mountaineering is like a game of russian roulette. It's not. (See my most recent post on the last Everest article for an in depth explanation). I'd love to see Gizmodo do what other news sites won't and post about this recent success on the mountain. #tips

Doesn't sound like Daft Punk Tron music though... is it from the original, or more likely a remix from the original?
Also, they should really dub the original music onto that video and get rid of the video's sound. It'd be a lot better without hearing those babies and toddlers and other stupid people. #whitenoise

Hey guys, There are some awesome tech videos in this video competition, and it would be awesome if you could go vote for your favorites. There are things like electric cars that run on 25 cents of gas, clothes that store energy, and locks that unlock when you perform your customized motion. Some of the videos--umm--display the difficulty communicating science, but some of them are jaw dropping amazing. So, if you have a few minutes to spare, please go check it out. (Edit comment)The first song they played was from the Tron soundtrack. The rest are from various Electronic artists.
I believe they called it Tron dance because of the way the lights were on their suits as well as the colors. #whitenoise
