In order for a technology to take off these days, it has to be simple. Confession: I'm not a big Star Wars fan. I know it's against nerd culture and geekdom to admit such a thing but hey, here I am, in the flesh, an unabashed Star Wars non-lover. Sure I thought the movies were enjoyable but I only watched them once *gasp*. But even without loving the movies, you just pick up on things because EVERYBODY ELSE on this planet loves Star Wars. One thing I didn't pick up on was that Yoda was not some sort of uberfrog. Why not? He's green! And froggish! And that's why this Star Wars Science Dagobah Frog Habitat for $14 would have been so funny. Because get it? A real frog in fake Yoda's home planet! Whatever. Let me know I'm not the only one who doesn't love Star Wars -CC More »

Short of kidnapping Tim Cook and waterboarding him, we couldn't be more sure the iPad 3 will boast a mega-pretty retina display resolution. But buzzwordiness aside, just how much better will the new sharpness be? It makes everything that came before it look puny. In its early years, Boy Meets World was a wonderful show about an awkward and obnoxious, but ultimately endearing boy who vowed to make his teacher's life hell. Somewhere along the way, that awkward and obnoxious boy turned into an awkward and unlikable young adult, and most of the show's appeal went down the drain. I mean, how can you forget Plays With Squirrels. But hey, let's remember the good times. You can do that with the complete seven-season run of Boy Meets world, which is only $65 ($20 less than normal). And even if those later seasons suck, they'll only make you appreciate the early ones even more. -AC More »

When a Swedish man drove down a deserted forest road near Umeaa, Sweden last December 19th, he was probably looking forward to Christmas. But that day, his car somehow became buried under a mountain of snow. He was trapped there for two months, suffering insanely low temperatures, with no access to food. Last Sunday, he was discovered. Apparently, the "you're holding it wrong defense" didn't work as well as Apple had hoped. The company has agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit and will give US iPhone 4 buyers their choice of $15 or a bumper case. More »

When you think ICBM, things get Freudian—a long, slender missile erupting from an underground silo or submarine bay, gliding upwards. You probably don't consider a giant missile dumped from the back of a plane.
