Not too long ago, I asked you to help me dive into the world of unconventional, strange, and often horrible computer pointing devices. Some of them have very specialized purposes. Some of them are just dumb. Here are 13 of the weirdest.

It allows for twist, push, pull, and directional X-Y movements. It's a very useful device for manipulating 3d objects— manipulating 3D models with a 2 axis mouse is infuriating.

6. The Logitech Cyberman

The Logitech Cyberman was one of the wierdest mouses I ever used. It had force feedback but it's limited X-Y axis could really mess things up sometimes.

7. This weird thing

Found by Mark Duckworth:

I had one of these many years ago. It seemed like such a good idea, but it was an epic pile of dung.

We had one of these in a lab where I worked. [We worked on] an early attempt at Virtual Reality back in the '90s. We used this to navigate through the virtual space.
