however, if you look at the 'fastest' page on dslreport's mobile speed test, it appears sprint's connection is generally faster over the averages taken from every test.

http://www.dslreports.com/mspeed?domains=1

but not by a huge amount.
Nick

it varys like any speed test.. a lot of factors to take into account.. especially on a cell phone network.. my first test was at 535.. second one was at 440 or something.. but this guys rubbish video is a mere propoganda..

btw i like the use of a key for a stylus.. very resourceful :D
f0de

Ok guys, the video I shot is lackluster at best, because it was shot with a camera, but it doesn't hang, but it is slower than the sprint test.

i can confirm that this guys on crack.. if i had a video camera this moment i'd shoot back a proper speed test with my treo 700w.. as I just did the 600kb test in 535 kbit/sec "blew through it" with 2 bars of service.

He should try and remove the tin foil hat.. maybe it'll get a better signal?
f0de

The reviewer might have issues simply because of the coverage at the site of the review. It could be the Treo sucking, it could be oversubcription of that tower that the user is on, it could be Verizon clamping his feed. Using Occam's razor says that this user should move his butt to the land of better coverage with a Sprint and Verizon enabled set of Treo 700W's before posting a somewhat angst laden and poorly planned video review of an apples to oranges comparison.
Opposing Thumbs
