I got the CD-X10i and think that it is great. One problem with it though, is that it has a very delicate wiring system. When I hooked it up, I had to adjust the wires for some time before the speakers would work. Other than that the whole thing is terrific! I love the bass from the sub wolfer!

kbear

I bought the TEAC CD-X10i a few weeks back and noticed that the volume control on the remote and the base unit stops functioning after you have played a song on a CD that is more than 4 minutes long. Isn't that weird? Are you wondering that I have lost my mind? I took the unit back and got another one. Same problem. This volume control stops responding only if the song is longer than 4 minutes. After the volume stopped responding during CD playback, I switched to the tuner and there was no audio until I powered the unit off and turned it back on.

Please try adjusting the volume after a single song has played for over 4 minutes and let me know I am not alone.

This unit is going back to the store again.

Just unwrapped this "gift"

Not to sound ungrateful but if you don't know good sound this will please you.

It froze the volume on the second cd and would only lower the numbers but not the actual sound.

As an EPI and Harmon Kardan affictionato this is about to go to my 11yr old son.

To physically produce room filling sound you need more size to work with. The little hole afforded for the Sub Cannot possibly do more than blow air on your face for a foot. Id say nice try but once again you cannot defy the basic laws of acoustic suspension. Too bad a good name in reel to reel is gonna take a bath over this release of pathetic muffled sound.

pauly

Got mine at Costco last week, and it is on my desk here at the office. Gotta say, for the money, this is the best sounding system for an iPod, and you get 3 add'l functions... AM/FM w/presets, CD player, and AUX, which I am using for my computer speakers. It surpasses my expectation on sound with the huge sub-woofer, has crystal clarity, and takes up minimal space... a definite winner!

pammylu

I saw the CD-X10i at Costco last weekend. It sounded all right, and was definitely less than $249, although I don't remember the exact price (maybe $229?). I might head back tomorrow and pick one up.

Kevin
