Actually, this should be available now. It was origionally set for a "mid July" release according to the press release by Pioneer. I called them around that time and they said it was delayed. I was in Circuit City a few weeks ago and saw one hooked up to a 360 and one of their flat panel TVs. CircuitCity.com has them for $379 right now ($500 list). I would assume it would be available elsewhere as well.

I really like this idea, but for that much coin I would almost rather get a normal Pioneer receiver that has 7.1 channels. But then I'd need new speakers.
