Ah, <b>chocorua</b> I believe this is aimed at the server/work station/super computer market.  An integrated CPU/GPU set up is really a desktop thing.  Two different markets entirely.  Ask anyone doing high level modeling (3D, climate, nuclear physics, etc) or video encoding.  For them, you can never have too much CPU power.  Now programing for 80 cores, that is whole other kettle of fish...</p> <p>sdsdv10</p>]]></description>

It gives AMD something not to shoot for.  AMD/ATI is already shooting for the seemingly superior goal of integrating CPU's and GPU's.  Whereas AMD's solution is to start integrating all of the processors in a computer that currently work independantly, Intel's solution is to throw as much processing power at it as possible at the problem and hope the computer is smart enough to figure out how to use it.</p> <p>chocorua</p>]]></description>
