On the other hand, it does a hell of a job with email even if it is primarily a phone with excellent email. People badmouth the SureType, but it works pretty damn well and has become as close to second nature as Palm's Graffiti was in its day.

Yes, if I get the chance to do it all over again I want my Blackberry to a have full QWERTY keyboard. And wile my iPod Nano is my MP3 player of choice, it wouldn't hurt to have my Audible books available on my phone either. But the killer app, besides the email, is the ability to surf the web at EVDO broadband speed. The Verizon service is bretty damn good. Especially being able to get high speed RSS and Google Maps on my Blackberry. Too bad Verizon cripples the Blackberry's ability to work as a EVDO modem via Blutooth from my laptop. They force me to buy the Blackberry and a separate Blutooth EVDO card because of they have purposely crippled the BT modem capability on the Blackberry.

Nevertheless, if my company would allow me to upgrade to the 8xxx I would in a heartbeat.
