Im surprised noone is speculating whether this and/or other Google related phone info has something to do with the iPhone.

Like Jobs said in relation to Cingular(AT&T), let each company do what it does best.

AT&T: phone service
Apple: fuctional, well engineered hardware/software devices
Google: internet applications
