Throw some fruits in the loop you think? They are working on THE software for THE phone i reckon.

Supposedly back in 2004, "The next killer device is a clearly a personal one,'' Schmidt said. "The one I personally favor is putting all the world's information into the equivalent of an iPod, which will be possible in the next five to 10 years. And if you can't quite do that, your wireless connection will help you get what you need."

k1mmII

Most importantly, I believe this to be the first patent application that has the name of three different donut shops in it. And that's something in it's own right.

Brad

Didn't Apple work directly with Google on integrating Google Maps into the iPhone?.. and doesn't some Google higher-up sit on the Apple board of directors?

Im surprised noone is speculating whether this and/or other Google related phone info has something to do with the iPhone.

Like Jobs said in relation to Cingular(AT&T), let each company do what it does best.

AT&T: phone service
Apple: fuctional, well engineered hardware/software devices
Google: internet applications

ChrisMurphy

They said they're not committed to designing hardware. They didn't say they weren't working on software :).

bobvilla

They must be kidding. Opening multiple connections to retrieve data faster is not a new technology, they just ported to a mobile device.

europria
