As the ceo of the company (www.kangaroomstorage.com) I appreciate everyone's concern about ventilation. If you note in the photo , the back side has 5 slits for ventilation that run up and down the entire length, plus there 4 large openings 2.5" x2" (that the cords run in and out of)
Additionally, we made the product out of heat resistant acrylic (not cheap injection molded plastic), which adds to the cost. I hope this information is of service to your readers

For only $60 + a saturday's work putting vents and fans in a plastic box you too can have something even bigger than a powerstip under your desk with cords coming out of it. WOW sounds like a winner to me. I hope the company is public so I can invest!!

just slap a couple case fans in it for airflow and cut the price by like 40 $ and I'm in. I often huddle in the corner with a fire extinguisher hoping my bundle of cords won't burst into flames.
