A belkin power strip i bought in about 1996 had coloured receptacles and coloured stickers. You put the sticker on the plug, and sharpied on what it was (ie "lamp"). Worked very well for me, but i've not found another like it. Given that i've long moved out, when i'm remote troubleshooting, i can also say "unplug the blue one" and my father knows which one i mean (i keep a chart at my place).</p> <p>Eilonwynn</p>]]></description>

Second Geisrud's post. They used 2-prong plugs for the pictures because of the nice flat surface for their stickers. What happens when these are placed on non-flat 3-prong plugs?
