This is awesome. It has a "Photo Album" but doesnt have a camera. It has a "Web Browser" but only has GPRS to put you on the information highway.

The boxcasing of the SKID reminds me of the Nokia N-GAGE QD but you could atleast play games online (or offline) on the QD. This thing is beat.

superbmtsub

Doesn't seem so bad, for the price anyway. It would be in T-Mobile's interest to try and sell this as one of those free phones with a new contract, since those usually have crappy or no extra features. A lot of people wouldn't mind a free sidekick.

Pazuzu

How does this compare with the older Sidekick II? I mean, other than using the trackball instead of a wheel, the specs seem to be the same as the SKII.

Hitchcock

its actually taller than a sidekick 3, but only a drafter could tell the difference.
+.02
+.18
-.03

Volume:

11.0469 cu. in for the sidekick ID
10.557 for the sidekick III

so the ID is actually bigger... WTF?

Im with PCLoadLetter, how about a comparison, or perhaps some plain old-fasioned dimensions on the photos themselves. You know, the old, "look at this thing next to this ruler" trick.

And make sure you don't grab Brian Lams personal ruler, or else everyones going to really think this thing is 12 inches across.

nutbastard

I'm not much of a phone man. My Nokia 2600 is still kicking and working fine. The Sidekicks seemed so fragile with their spring hinge, not to mention the cramped keypad. Now this one is a gelded version of the real Sidekick? Why bother?

DouglasThurman
