Why is it you feel they owe you anything? I don't remember seeing anything that said anything to the effect of "Your service will work 100% of the time, guaranteed."
---------------------------

actually, they more or less do say this. all carriers do. if you experience dropped calls or other in-call trouble, you can always call in and get a credit.

they don't say it will work in 100% of places, but where it does work, they expect it to work more or less 100% of the time.
no, they didn't. RIM's service failed, not Cingular's. Please get your facts straight.

You agreed to the early termination fee when you bought your discounted phone, and you know it's not prorated if you break the contract early.

Why is the rebate even optional? Cingular contracted to provide x amount of service for Y amount of money. They broke the agreement, so they get less money.

gofastmini2005: I'd agree with you IF the companies charged you a simple "prorated amount" when you break your end of the contract by canceling your plan or going over in minutes / data usage.

The fact is they tear us apart and people who were affected by this deserve more than $2.50.

With that being said, Verizon once gave me a $10.00 credit for staying on the phone with them for two hours to solve a problem that ended being their fault, so the phone companies have been fair on occasion.

WhatsUpDoc

I won a $25 on online game from Citibank. But the catch is that you have to print out the winning page and get it notarized. So, pay $65 to get it notarized to win $25. O and they will say they will mail the check after about 12-16 weeks.

This $2.50 seem much better.

jifjif
