]]> <![CDATA[Student Projects: ITP Spring Show 2007]]> last time we saw that blink camera guy, I thought he looked like one of those peppy-artsy guys who join the dram club and stuff in high school. Now, in those closeups with the weird wires coming out of his face and what not, he kindof looks like a semi-goth Edward-Scissorhands-genre-loving cool guy. But then the camera pulls out, and there's our old friend from drama class putting on a great big show, wearing a tuxedo with a helmet and a big blue camera.

Why do I say these things? Well, I'm a total ass sometimes and I just can't stop myself.

Also, I still say the camera should point the other way...so at least you can say you've got a picture of what you missed when you blinked. Nobody wants a bunch of pictures of their self with their eyes closed.

getting a vision system to recognize a blink wouldnt be as easy as some wires n glue, but it can be done.

I thought he at least made a mechanism that optically knows when you blink (via some sort of biometric system) as at least that would be of some use to the technical community.

Instead, he essentially made a switch that is tripped when he closes his eyes. Absolutely retarded.
