I'm surprised Nokia lowered the OS standards in the 7000 line up. Prior to this, they ran the S60 UIs.

Not bad looking phone but the S40 sours it up for me. Once you get hooked to the easily programmable features on S60, it's hard to go anywhere else.

Sorry gunbu, I have to agree this thing looks like the bastard child of a drunken mathematician and a stoned designer. I currently own a Nokia 6275i and love the thing to death, also worth noting is that it's identical to this phone, minus the 1GB inboard mem, 3G and hideous design. Plus external memory expansion.

All phone's I've used seemed to be designed to tolerate fairly extreme usage conditions/accidents, unless of course it's an HTC POS, in which case it'll self-disassemble and fall apart just like the OS it runs.

Weird trapezoidal buttons, decent display, average camera, conversational body, nein wifi, nein external memory,... nein want.

If I was looking for a phone I could beat up, I'd rather get a Samsung or Sony-Ericsson. I've seen the SE T250a and SE W880i take some serious abuse (hard drops onto pavement) without issues.

Handy-TV: just like in japan, it says "UMTS" in brakets (i.e. its a 3G phone) and it supports a V-cast type TV service.

hope that clarifies things.

PS: it actually looks like a decent phone, almost like those nokias of old which you could throw at a concrete wall, pick it up and make a call... (actually, the new stuff is still pretty durable.)
