but can you go more in-depth on what the interface looks like? ever since i went samsung, i've realized how important it is to have a good UI on your phone (switch from the PM-325 to the A900 and you notice the difference hardcore).

This phone strikes my eye because my girlfriend has sprint and her current phone is a piece of junk. I've been waiting for a decent phone to get her and I think this one is it.
Also I think more phones should take the same steps as this one and include fm transmitters as well as upping to 4gb micro storage.
I wish my LG8600 had these features.
