Even if you didn't want to sell it on ebay, craigslist is free and only requires a few short sentences.. Unless your really worried about meeting actual people.

toyotaboy

it's worth the time to sell on ebay, unless your some snob that earns 6 figures. Honestly, $29 for a used 20gb ipod? That could sell on ebay easily for $90.. Just one photo and short description that says "functions 100%" is worth $60 to me.

toyotaboy

eBay is a pain in the butt, though. Having to snap photos, write descriptions, form policies, waste time with auctions, fiddle with shipping, deal with flakes, mess with feedback. And even then, you may not get what you want or should. I say, forget all that junk when all I want to do is just put a few bucks into my pocket quickly.

Some of what this place offer may be lower, but they have to turn around and sell everything they buy in order to profit, so they can't pay you what they might get in the market.

The point is, this just makes things so simple by eliminating all the steps I mentioned above. The way they do things couldn't make things any quicker or easier from what I can tell.

So the bottom line is, what's more important? Your time or a few more bucks in the marketplace you may not even get?

Omega

Checked it out, and the prices they offer are REALLY low. I'd much rather double or triple my profit and waste a few minutes posting on ebay.

morganlh85

When did you guys hire a bunch of old ladies for writers? It's had to get burned as a seller on Ebay unless you're a complete retard. PayPal money comes in, item gets shipped out. No weirdos coming to your door and no way for you to get stuck with a phoney money order or hot check.

This is the dumbest idea in the history of mankind. As Weatherman says, this isn't the first time someone has lost the farm investing in such a business model.

analogs

A thousand of these companies have come and gone. They never pay enough for the gear, mostly because they have to build in the depreciation cost and the loss they take from things that crap out. It's a business model that won't ever work unless they find a way to get people to put their own stuff online and stand behind it, and then leave it up to individuals to determine its value in the market place...hmmm... I think there might be a company doing that already...

weatherman
