Actually, breathing oxygen on the surface is not very dangerous at all, even at percentages nearing, or reaching, 100. In fact it is almost completely harmless AND worthless - even if you pay for it in an "oxygen bar".

Oxygen at depth, on the other hand, is potentially lethal. Breathing 100% oxygen even at 60 feet increases your equivalent value to 281% (2.81 ATA's X 100(%)). This could cause oxygen toxicity leading to death after even short periods of time, depending on the subject.

You have to 'clear' your Eustachian tubes when being pressurized (usually done by valsava maneuver - using your fingers to plug your nose and blowing until your ears clear). Dogs can't do it (no fingers, wet, slippery nose, too stupid) so I believe this chamber would cause excrutiating pain...they can't really complain, though. Maybe that is why the dog looks like that? HAHAHAHHAAA funny!

@giyad: I'd debate the effects of incorrectly using such a device and administering unhealthy levels of oxygen in a pressurized tank, but if you really can't take the time to at least research the fact that breathing oxygen alone for prolonged amounts of time can be extremely hazardous, theres no point in trying to inform the ignorant.

The expression on the poor dog's face is incredible!! Bloody priceless! :)

Rumor has it (kinda serious here, and only rumor) that this kind of therapy is great for autistic children. I've been told that an autistic child exposed to a slight overpressure and increased O2 can develop almost normally, with some believing to be a cure. Of course, if this were true, we'd have a much smaller problem with autism, but maybe it helps.

You can fill it with a helium-oxygen atmosphere and see how high pitched your dog can bark.

I bet it'd be harmless animal-cruelty galore.
