For some reason though they stopped using the technology.. I think one watch still exists for sale, but I'm not really sure why this isn't used all over the place. It's much better than putting an ugly LCD on the bottom of the face of the watch.

My question is if the analog and digital are linked, or if you have to set them separately. I think so from the description.

Anyway, for an ana/digital watch I'll take a Citizen's any day of the week.

While the dual analog/digital time display isn't "pants worthy" the fact that I can have chrono functions running while I'm 'watching the clock' means that I'll never have to wonder whether I've got time for one more interval set before happy hour.

I have an analog/digital myself, but it didn't cost $200.
My job requires me to be outside after sunset, so I can state that this type of watch does come in handy.
I like the look of the analog face, but when lighting is an issue, it's nice to have the LED option.

And, yes, it also comes in handy when I can't remember if the big hand is the hours or minutes ;-)
