I thought this site was about "gadget news." I've let a lot of stuff slide, but this is not news about gadgets nor is it news. The "point 7 ratio" has been around for years, and, if memory serves has been disproven. What has been found is that the hip-waist ratio can be used as a basis of attractiveness in most cultures but that the actual ratio attractive to a particular cultur varies.

I don't come to Gizmodo for transparent appeals to sex-starved losers. I come here for actual gadget news. Although if I see another one of these stupid posts that are just an excuse to boost pageviews with Maxim photoshoots, I don't think I will come here for anything.

Seriously, guys-there are plenty of places for this kind of content. I don't want to have to worry about getting caught looking at the Gizmodo feed at work, but it seems like you're going out of your way to include racy photos and profanity. I get that you make your money off of increased readership, and this kind of stuff increases your readership, but I think it's doing so at the expense of your credibility as a new source. I like irreverence as much as the next guy, and I appreciate that you write with a sense of humor, but it would be nice if you'd try to just apply that attitude to actual gadget/tech news.

Gee, I'm not a scientist, but I conducted my own semi-scientific study and also reached the conclusion that Jessica Alba and Allesandra Ambrosio were the hottest human females alive. My study consisted of taking notes every time just looking at a picture of a chick gave me a boner. It came down to Alba, Ambrosio and Bea Arthur as the only three autmoatic pants-tighteners. Go figure.

I'm a mathematician (that's kinda like a mathemetician), and I developed a system for female hotness that I think Jason Chen would really appreciate. I put a protractor down my pants, and measure the 'Angle of Salute' (Measured from the leg, it ranges from 0 (Bea Arthur with bed head) to 180 (usually requires multiple women and whipped cream)). You can also use the 'Degrees from Vertical' measurement (the smaller the better). Here's an easy to remember equation...

Angle of Salute = 180 - Degrees from Vertical

Oddly enough, Jessica Alba's Angle of Salute is 179.3, which means that the Degrees from Vertical is 0.7. Hmmm. Whether you use my method or Cambridge's method, Jessica Alba is a .7. Math-tastic!
