I was really into this thing until I saw the vertical disk trays. Sure, it seems like a minor quibble based on the rest of the impressive specs and features, but that would really get annoying to me. At school I had my PS2 set up vertically and would always fumble around trying to balance the damn disks in the tray as it opened and closed. Poor design decision in my opinion.

LastVigilante

With a mid-level price of $5,600, this comes to roughly $560 apiece to play each of the 10 decent games that will be released in PC format in the next year. Assuming of course you download the several hundred megs of patches that each of the games will need in order to play properly. And assuming there are no hardware / software conflicts with whatever else you have installed on the machine...

With PC releases withering yearly and consoles getting more and more powerful (while still costing a fraction of what gaming PCs go for) the appeal of this machine is a mystery to me.

cthulhu5673

How is this in any way beautiful, modern, simple or in fact powerful with off the shelf parts? It looks cheap and at best like a adolescent version of its idol a MAC Pro which is in fact beautiful, modern, simple and powerful and don't give me that crap of upgradeable at leas it works flawless with its installed OS and with no encrypted error messages.

nine9nin

It's not LED's like you think. The back panel is actually just electroluminescent (I have that same mobo...) I prefer minimalist design with as few showy LEDs as possible. You cant even tell they are lit until you look at the back panel, and the labels glow softly.

Stang70Fastback
