As a matter of fact, I'm looking into a dual-format player myself, so this seems very interesting. I'm a little worried about the time it takes for the device to boot up. Could anyone clarify the reasoning behind this for me?

This is really weird. The "flag" and "reply" things only move after you've commented. It would be real swell if they didn't use the site as a sandbox, but seeing as I'm commenting by their good graces, the only thing I can do is deal with it. I still love you guys!

ps-for everyone else, lay off on the BD vs. HD war, me thinks it will end eventually. Buy a up-converting 1080i/p player for now, and everything else will reveal itself eventually

Good grief... how many times is Giz going to change the layout and L&F of this site?!? Is that Monk green? The vertical layout of the individual posts is awful - save that for people using PDAs or something... my 23" monitors can handle the horizontal layout and I can read more posts without scrolling. Your "web master" needs a day job.
