Is this challenge still going on? What has to be done to win it as the whole software needs re-implementation. So far I can connect to the Nike+, assign sensors and receive their data... So if someone can point me out a source how to interpret it, we should have the Nike+ working in no time :-)

Is this challenge still active? What needs to be implemented as the whole software has to be rewritten. I didn't found out yet how the iPod Touch/ iPhone identifies the accessory and starts the appropriate application but I'm able to communicate with the Nike+ kit search for sensors and receive data. Maybe someone can point me to a source where the explain the structure of the Nike pods format? Anyone?

hey, I'm totally all for this. I want the radio remote functionality built in, and the Nike+ technology to be compatible. I'd be down to contribute to a bounty if we can get this done.

Bonus* how cool would it be to control the tunes on your iphone from the new nike+ watch? Seriously, I'm so ready to help make this happen.

I would also like for the Radio remote to be compatible with the iPhone. It's very handy in the car, because it's much easier to push an actual button while driving to pause music or switch tracks. I find it difficult and dangerous to do these basic tasks on my iPhone while driving.

@Narual: You can use groups to do exactly what you want. And I'm not sure about the dictionary, but I know my iPhone has at least learned my username since it autosuggests it as I type. Based on that, I assume it learns new words as you type/correct them a few times.

How about hacking the address book to have a business/personal split instead so I can load my company directory in for easy caller ID but still be able to find my friends and family? Or a way to edit the custom dictionary? :)

I get the same message when I plug my iPhone into the AI-NET adapter for my Alpine head unit in my car, but then it works anyway.

I think maybe thats a default message for anything it doesnt recognize. Doesnt necessarily mean they were actively trying to shut it out.

I would happily contribute to a bounty.

According to the Dev pages, you can access native apps from a web app, but not the ports, which is frustrating.

This means a crack app would be needed (or a new Nike+)

I'm with ya. I'm not all into hacking my iPhone, but I'd give it a shot to make Nike+ work. (Can't help with programming or anything... Can barely use an iPhone.)
