Bluetooth is good for mobile devices because of the low consumption of energy thus not being able to product high transfer rate and distance.

While WUSB is meant for higher transfer rate while providing a good range. Not really made for devices that use battery. great for printers, mouse(with rechargeable dock i suppose) external HD and many other USB devices.

I believe they are refering to wireless USB. but im not really sure what your question.

I think 40mbps is going to be hard for people to accept. It should be faster than current wired USB and should be on a frequency that has minimal interference along even if there are a thousand WUSB devices in the same room. Also important that it at least have the same distance capability as bluetooth. maybe then I would really consider getting it.
