We outlawed ALL electronic devices.

No cellphones, mp3, tv, dvd, ds, psp (me). You know what? Instead of a living hell nightmare of a trip, the whole excursion was so much better than in years past. Want to have a good time and have some entertainment? Try haning out with your family, kids says the FUNNIEST shit. Watching tv in the car sounds great until you turn it off, like taking a junkies shit away. Plus our country would be a lot less nearsi in all respects if we turned off the tube and put our collective heads out of our asses.

Oh yhea and it was easy to convince the wife to sell the minivan with the entertainment setup and replace it with a turbocharged PT Cruiser...

That only holds 3 of the kids...

Now THATs entertainment.

I asked my boss once what he thought of a particular film concept - he said he figured his kids would watch it at least 4 times in the course of one drive to Florida and back, i/o/w/ it would be a hit. I have no use for in-car video now, but I remember what little hellions my brother and I were on long trips, so as soon as I have munchkins in the car, I will be installing a video system in the backseat post haste. I value my sanity.

Sure its cool, but when I get to where I'm going I usually get out of the car. A NAV system and decent sound system make sense... but really... video? I guess it keeps the kids occupied on long trips, but considering how many single occupancy vehicles are on any major freeway, who makes time to watch it? (oh that's right, the outlaws driving while watching)

Well said, Jason. Coming Jan 1, it'll be illegal to drive and hold your cellphone up to your ear talking at the same time. Don't think that's gonna change much what's so prevalent now.

There will still be people who drive and text the same time, and there's no such thing as hands-free texting, at least not yet.
