Sony Bravia Ad Showcases Mick, Keef and a Tsunami of Bunnies

I was a hired extra on this shoot... not all of the people in the shots were hired, but having people around the Play Doh was completely intentional. In the park where most of the action happens (in front of the courthouse in the financial district), it was blocked off to a certain extent. They didn't want people walking through the bunnies, after all. And some of it was definitely CGI. The two days I was on set we didn't see any of the Play Doh, they just marked off where it would be on the pavement and gave us rough markers for how tall it would be at different points in the commercial.
It turned out pretty neat, I think... even though I can't find myself unless I pause it a million times. Anyone have an idea of where I could download this?

Really. Sony Bravia ads are so great it actually makes me teary eyed... that one with the bouncy balls, or the one with color paint splashing all over.

@WorkingOnYourInvoice: It doesn´t beat the bouncy balls, but it´s way better that the exploding paint and the dumb clown. Specially the dumb clown. The Rolling Stones are well chosen but the blurred people doesn´t make it.

Is it the same production company? After this one I would trust them again. They got lucky.

@gary_slamson: i couldn't stop laughing after reading your post.

@DIV360: i dont think there's actually any motion blur if you stop the video and look at the frames.

What bothers me is that i dont see how they could have suspended the models of the bunnies in mid-air for the frames when they are leaping. There doesnt appear to be any stand underneath them, nor wires which they are hanging from. Even if they were hanging, there'd be no way to get a crane or something in those large outdoor shots without seeing it.

I personally really dug the people in the shots, and I thought they added a lot to the commercial. It's much easier to work in a set where it's closed off and nobody can walk and you don't have to worry about your stuff getting stepped on or messed up. You also don't have to trip over people or be in their way and make sure it's ok to have them on film. It was a lot more work to have people in the shots and make it look like the stuff was going on around them, independent of them.

@DIV360: There was a gizmodo posting a while back with pictures of them putting out all of the clay rabbits for this commercial. It is most definitely clay and stop motion.

Like to get the stop motion aspect, couldn't they just leave a camera in one spot for awhile and just input the rabbits later on?

I thought I read somewhere that to get motion blur, it would be extremely hard to do with stop motion (if at all).. But there was definitely some of that in this ad.
