What are you talking about? When did Fox not pick Family Guy up? If you're referring to when it was cancelled after Season 3, I believe it had less to do with torrents, and more to do with the ineptitude of management. Were torrents that popular four years ago?

Please, please don't tell me thats your answer to everything. Some of us happen to be Futurama fans and:
A. Make more then $20 a week which is the only way I could really see that price as being a major hurdle.

B. Actually want to see this show get a better shot of airing new episodes. Fox didn't pick up Family Guy again because the torrents were so popular.

Although if money really is an issue keep in mind that it will be showing on Comedy Central (not cartoon network) in the future. All of the DVDs (this is just the first of three) will be cut into quarters and shown as 16 "new" episodes on CC. A combination of DVD sales and ratings will then help make the decision on if it is brought back or not.
