These guys (re-)anodize them. The two processes are a lot different, but the end result is going to be a matter of personal preference. Personally, I think I would prefer the anodized/dyed over Colorware's paint for these particular items, but maybe that's just me.

Honestly $349 to anodize a Mac pro is a real bargain considering the amount of work involved.

There are some neat effects they could offer in addition to the solid colors though. You can easily mask or fade aluminum dyes.
