FYI - Mac support isn't just "in the works" in the sense that it may or may not come out before your pet parakeet* dies. Should be out by the end of Jan '08, so Mac users need not hold their breath.

*provided you have a relatively young and healthy parakeet.

How is the refresh on these things? Would they work for gaming? I thought I remember reading that the prior VGA version woked well enough, unless you were a gamer.

As reported on the Giz a while ago, Matrox dualhead2Go will get you more monitors on a Mac laptop. Not sure if it's personally tested though, maybe they use skilled robots instead.

Clarification: The $119 adapter can't drive 1600X1200 - it does 1280X1024. The higher resolution adapter is $149. The high res model also supports multiple USB to DVI adapters, which the low res model does not.

Hi - I work for sewell in marketing.

Vermifuge and DDFall - Mac support is on its way.

Oldmanstan - we haven't tested it on a 22" yet. It definitely will work, we just weren't sure whether it would run at the ideal resolution. We are trying to find one laying around so we can give it a shot. We'll let you know.

so wait, why can't it drive a 22 inch wide screen panel? 1600x1200 > 1680x1050 and isn't that what matters in the end, the number of pixels it has to handle?
