With a standard sawing motion, this nifty laser sight will only shine where you have already cut, and that not very well. Also, if you look at the image shown, once the cut gets to the length of the saw blade the laser hits the material. Even if it didn't, I dont know anyone that uses a saw from the underside of whatever they're cutting. I know several people this would make a great gag gift for.

You guys got it wrong, its not a saw for building, its for self defence. The laser is for ditracting ppl before you stab them. They hear you coming, turn around and "wth theres a laser pointed on the ground" *stab*, can also be used for burning the retinas of people you're in combat with, giving you a distinct advantage in those long drawn out fights.

Look at where the laser is positioned. Look at how he's using the saw. Who actually saws like that? Most of the time you'll either saw with the blade perpendicular to the item being sawn, or with the saw angled completely opposite from the manner shown, so that the laser would be shining off into space away from the board.

It's not just dumb, but it doesn't even work as advertised.
