Dammit Man! Get a Harmony Remote allready!
$70 at Costco Right now I think. Ends all of your desperate calls for help and way cheaper than replacing the wife and kids.(Though that may be an option. Who knows?)

Hurray for more display dealies! It's amusing sometimes to go behind my TV and look at how many different little types of connections it takes. I'm wondering why, despite having nigh tens of "Video 1, Video 2" type channels, so many televisions still have only one button the cycle through them in one direction.

Too many times it goes like this: Okay, I'm on the game console, on Video 2. The satellite receiver is on Video 1. We have... 6 Video channels, I think, and then the 'normal' channels. So... *presses button to do nearly a full cyle*. Blast. It didn't register one of my presses. *presses again* Argh! It just skipped Video 1 and went back to 2!

Reilaos: Reading Comprehension is your friend!

Jebus, *another* display connector? I don't even own any gear with HDMI yet (and that includes my 32" 720p LCD TV!). I'll probably have to jump two generations of display connectors, none of which have any real advantages over the other, just to get caught up. Or rather, just not buy any of this garbage and stick to DVI. :P

unit3

I would absolutely LOVE these on receivers and projectors. This thing can transfer 1440p 50ft with no hiccups (unlike HDMI). So if you have a PS3 or 360, you can just plug in your HDMI cable to the receiver and plug the receiver DisplayPort to the projector DisplayPort. It would have been nice if HDMI was capable of doing this but hey, looks like DisplayPort has an application.

daftrok
