That way you could hand the other half to a friend allowing you both to take pictures of a birthday party/family gathering/or late night drunkfest.

Having them permanently attached the way the video shows it makes it a one trick pony - and not a very useful one at that.

Hold an object that's close to that thing's size and shape like you would a camera. Your hand will be covering the behind the scenes lens. Kind of a cool idea, just not real practical.
