Oooh, tuxedo black and white! Classy. Is it just me or does the front slide to the side AND down?

I have an earlier version and wish I had gotten a Canon. I can see some significant noise come in at higher ISOs. Also, the cover-as-power-switch means it turns on in my pocket and takes pictures of lint sticking to the unprotected lens. Not awesome.

I think the thinnest point and shoot that I know of is the Sony Cybershot T7, coming in at 14.8 mm at its thickest point.

@Jos: Yes Fujifilm makes great cameras, but don't diss the Canon pocket shooters. They are great cameras also. I happen to like the Canon line because I think its easy to use. That might have to do with the fact that I have a Canon DSLR.

The exilim s880 is 17.3mm thick and seems like it's still the thinnest point and shoot out there. If someone knows a thinner one, please say so in the comments.

The press release requires registratiion. Does anyone know what kind of sensor are they using? Fuji used to use its own proprietary CCD that didn't have as many MP's, but was great for lower light shots and had better dynamic range because it actually had two differnt kinds of sensors. But with 8 MP, its sounds like they've had the MP Kool-Aid and stuck with a normal noisy sensor. Too bad if they did.

19.8 mm? thats...actually pretty thick. Thats basically 2 cm, which is 4/5 of an inch. I've seen thinner for casio and sony.

I have a FinePix now and they are really good cameras. Most people just go along with the Canon bandwagon, but if you go to dpreview (The old one at least) and actually do some research in price ranges, Fujifilm makes excellent products.
