I mean how hard it is to come up with a viable Mac GPS mapping application to bundle with a $500 GPS unit? MacGPS and GPSy have been doing it for years. What is so scary is how barebones these programs are - using them on a PC is like throwing the switch on the wayback machine and dipping into DOS... It boggles my mind that it has taken so long to complete a Mac version. For crying out loud these simple apps run on PDAs and cellphones but not natively on a new Quad Core Mac Pro!
Anyone have the coordinates of Garmin's HQ? I have a missle with a payload of poo I want to target at them!!!

They've got a Web Updater that checks for and installs firmware updates, a POI Loader for installing points of interest, and their Communicator Plugin, which loads POIs directly from websites like Geocaching.com.

Iphtashufitz mentions his unsupported Vista, which I presume is an older RS-232 serial unit and will not be supported. If it's a newer USB Vista, just download the new software from Garmin.com.

The one missing piece for TOTAL OS X support has been the lack of MapSource, which allows viewing, transferring, and use of map data. I believe the other signs all point to seeing "Bobcat" be "MapSource for Mac."
