1)I need to have another computer to install things on to this laptop. What if I am not home. Should I just have everyone I know share their DVD/cdroms.

2)Next, does this thing have airbags so when it is in my book bag with my Harry Potter it will not die.

Okay so a thin notebook with no built in optical drive seems kinda lame to me. So I guess you can go ahead and exclude anyone who likes to...Oh I dont know...install things. It looses its thin qualities when you have to carry around an extra drive.

It looks great for wifi needy, love the multi touch pad and illuminations of display and keyboard, and aluminum won't crack, but I don't like the idea of external dvd player or renting from itunes and always borrowing from some other source. Why the price for the smaller storage?

Wow a thin laptop with no optical. I guess it is easy to get thin if you exclude things. BTW I just created a laptop that is as thin as a sheet of paper. It has a manual screen that images appear on when you slide a standard pen across it. This eliminates the need for a keyboard so there is no keyboard. There is no optical drive and there is no need for a hard drive because storage is only limited to the room in your brain cavity. Did I say it was as thin as a sheet of paper, oh yeah and the best thing is you can fold it up and put it in your pocket.

Th chick is indeed acting like she's an unprofessional, insecure 2-year old.

Ans I expected a lot more from this keynote. I hate the name (Nike anyone?) I hate the iPod look, I hate the lack of ports, disc reader and ability to take the battery out, the lack of harddrive space, the lack of common sence. This sucks.

I hate apple a little now. They're going the wrong way again.
oh, and:

Sweet... a fixed battery that must be replaced at the factory. No optical drive. So thin it looks like it would crack from a sneeze.

I thought about it be decided on the M1330 Dell with the 2.2Ghz vs. 1.6/1.8 proc and an extra Gb of RAM for LESS than this thing. Plus it has a real DVD/CD slot load drive, built in AT&T cellular broadband, an actual VGA port (and HDMI), etc etc etc. Can't imagine anyone spending up to $3000 for this thing.

Also I'm guessing that 80Gb HD isn't 7200 RPM like the drive in my M1330. Screw that.

I still love the iPhone though :)
