That's right! Except the tent that they used twice in 1998 (black one for Adventurers, yellow for Extreme Team)...which appears to be the same exact pattern as this one. Or the alligator/crocodile that was built around the dragon upper jaw and tail, and which has been used in around 20 sets dating back to the 1994 debut of the Islanders subtheme of Pirates. Or the rubber raft which has been used in nearly as many sets and comes in four different colors (inluding pink, which was a complete surprise to me!) and dates back to the Divers sets of 1997. Hmmm...well, the ants are a completely new piece, at least.

Green is alligator. Grey is crocodile, and fairly rare to find in new condition, having only been used in the most expensive Egyptian-themed Adventurers set (but you got two of them!). You can tell because the grey version only showed up in a set from the Nile Valley region (where they have crocs) and the green one is mostly from sets that are more or less from the Americas (particularly the Amazon River region and, to a lesser extent, the Carribbean) where we mostly have gators.

New hair? I'm only seeing one, which is the grey-clad woman in the tent and temple sets. The gothboy just has a (very welcome) black version of the hair used for the new Anakin from his Clone Wars Jedi Starfighter (hair which looks more appropriate on a female, but still sorta works for a male, and which I'm going to have to get for Hitomi from the Exo-Force line because fern-hair just doesn't look good on _anyone_). And the native guy in the temple set, as far as I can tell, is sporting a black Dumble-do (or what Harry Potter's merman and Batman's Poison Ivy were wearing in dark-red).

Anyway, on to the LEGO! The parts-monkey in me is fairly excited by the new hair designs on the jungle duelers, and new military minifigs will be sure to make military builders happy (LEGO Chairman Mao, anyone?). Lots of foliage is also good. Ants not so much.

I think the recent "Classic Indy" sets are better, but these could grow on me...

my favorite was in the lead-up to episode 1, when the score was released a few weeks before the film. one of the track names- "the death of qui-gon". duh.

The Giant Sentient Rainforest Spiders land is being taken over by companies bent on deforestation and by runaway emos and Goths living in tents. After saving the Giant Sentient Rainforest Spiders from the emos and Goths (which get off on the whip) it is reviled that the artifact he is seeking (a device said to contain a plot that no body can resist) is at a temple near the original Garden of Eden. The spiders don't know the location of Eden, but the Talking Snakes of the Rainforest know of its location.

Meanwhile, Indy's geriatric nurse, played by Cate Blanchett, has learned that she can make money in the new "porno" industry, by being film in exotic locations having sex with an old man. While passing off blank film hidden in a jerry can to one of the "producers" she learns the location of temple from the talking snakes- who are directly descended from the Devil. The snakes tell her where the temple is, but also tell here that a better location to shoot would be Eden, as there are no people there. She disappears for the rest of the movie.

Indy learns that the spiders actually are major share holders in the company that is destroying the forest. It turns out that their investments are so diversified, that nothing can stop them from taking over the world. Indy attempts to reason with them and then kill them, but he finds out that all of the gear he has packed are actually prop weapons for some sort of movie (see above).

The final set piece is Indy battling the agents of a secret organization that will eventually become the MPAA. Their agents, anorexic actors and models, attempt to stop Indy. It turns out that their regiment of skin whitening and poor diet has caused them all to contract some strange disease called death. Indy is aided by those who he thought were his enemies- the spiders, snakes, emos, Goths, and porn producers. Indy finds the Crystal Skull, which it turns out is not a plot, but rather a poorly working plot device. He attempts to use it, it sucks the life out of him. The audience sees everything fade to black from his perspective. Then credits ensue.

@enine: This is about the movie, more than about the LEGO themselves. But as I said here, the only limit is the imagination. Many people are using specialized pieces to do all kinds of new and weird wonderful stuff.

@enine: I'm 50/50 on this issue. Self genrated creativity is great, but sometimes these "specialized" pieces can be gems themselves... when their utilized for creations that Lego may never have anticipated.
