I tested the FPSGun at the Ce-bit in Germany!
The only thing i can say is: This Device kicks ass!

It may look like a shoe, but the feeling is unique!

I will order one of these!!!

I actually have the mouse (got in on ebay out of Korea) and I love it. I've been playing FSP games for about 8 years and have used many "gaming" mice (upgraded from the Razr Diamondback to this). I first saw this at the CES 2008 show and where it was setup on a computer playing COD4, I offered the guy working the booth up to $250.00 for it but he said he was under direct orders not to sell any of the demo units. I knew I wasn't waiting for the unit to come to the US :) I will say that the DPI adjustment button could be a little closer but this isn't really a big deal. All the other negative comments (i.e. it will make your wrist sore, it's too small, etc..) are all baseless. This mouse is tight, plain and simple..

Seems like this would take away from your accuracy. Typically you move a mouse around with your fingers quite a bit (finite motions) but if your fingers are up near the trigger, you'd be moving this mouse more with your wrist an elbow, much bigger motions.

@StrengthNation: Do you mean that the standard and fairly uniform shape and size that most computer mice adhere to strikes you as odd?

If so I ask you to consider that nearly all hands are the same shape. So most tools designed to be used by the hand conform to that general shape.

Size is the biggest variant in mice which is no surprise as it is the biggest variant in hands.

The only other variable to consider is l-h r-h, and there are many mice that are ambidextrous.

Look at nearly any knife or tool. No matter where it originated it would be recognized by the native of any other remote area who had developed a tool to perform the same task.

The reason why the mouse is the best aiming device for FPS is because you have finer and finer axis of contorl. Starting at the shoulder and the elbow you move the mouse in the general direction, then you have the wrist to zoom in and make a finer adjustment. then you have the knuckles and finally the finger joins. Console controlers have 'only' the knuckles of each thumb.
Also, the index finger is more suited to rapid and ongoing clicking wheras the thumb is not. The index finger, when held palm down moves from the knuckle which is comfortable even with prolonged use. The gun divice here will need to be triggered at the index finger joint which will tire much sooner.

This device looks nice and it's good to see innovatin but not only will the trigger finger become stressed very quickly but it has very limited X and Y axis movement control, lacking the fine tuning of the mouse system.

It's weird isn't it how the market just decides, with little variation on what product is the best. Clearly this won't win, but I do love a good try...perhaps it will inspire the next inventor and THAT mouse (Shaped like something out of EXISTENZ) wil be the widely adopted one. Otherwise I agree with @chopsttickhero

Hmmm, this isn't a new idea. Good marketing idea. I doubt this version will get too far. If it's that uncomfortable, it'll have to be revised or die a quick death. Knowing Zalman, they'll charge too much for it. They make excellent coolers and important hardware, not mice.
