Im not surprised they are using microsd because they used it before the m2 cards but i would like them to keep using the m2s instead cause i want to transfer stuff D: and winmo isn't half bad >.> and i don't think this phone is un-se. I really like this phone cause of the specs of course and maybe the look but yeah. I can't wait for this phone at all. =D

@Buford T. Justice: I appreciate what your explaining to the n00b, but UMTS=WCDMA. GSM has NOTHING in common with WCDMA, they are two different networks. And remember, 1xRTT is on the -same- channel as voice, which is why EVDO (which was only supposed to be a 'hack' originally) is on -another- seperate network. VZW has FIVE radios in their phones, to their engineering credit: BlueTooth, 80211.b/g, EV-DO, MediaFlo & of course the good ol CDMA 2000, 1xrTT.

@patchouli: regarding windows mobile's supposedly big software library: its the only reason I keep buying WinMo phones, even though I hate them. But when I bought a TMob Dash (cheap and used thank god!) imagine my surprise when I realized that WinMo Smartphones can't run hardly any of the normal WinMo (Pocketpc) software. There went all my dictionar progs, my Tomeraider Wikipedia, my mapping software, all of it. This despite the fact that all are marketed generically as WinMo 5/6 operating system. I bet a good number of users had the same nasty surprise I did. It's certainly the last time I'm buying WinMo

@diabolusunknown: The rumor is its made by HTC as they are returning to their ODMF roots. Also, in response to someone earlier that "Windows Sucks", should look at a T-Mobile Shadow or HTC Touch, as they are both pre cursors to this phone. This unit will be running Mobile 6.1, hence Q3 launch. Oh, and its been leaked that T-Mobile is officially launching HSDPA beginning Q3.

This looks insanely delicious, but why must companies always waste their most juicy hardware with Windows Mobile? Honestly, there are so many phones that could have been great only to be ruined by this awful badness, and it has stopped me from concidering many-a-smartphone. It's horrible, there's nothing fun or easy about the interface, the interface lags, it's not fun to look at, the interface isn't very self explanatory or easy to figure out (so it's not as simple as handing it to your friend and saying "Here, you can check your mail with this"), and it's just very bad. As you can see my main problem is with the interface, but the interface is a very important part of a mobile OS. I liked it much better when cellphone companies were less lazy and made their own software. Now that we have Windows Mobile, it gives them a chance to completely skip the "Lets make a good interface" phase. Arg, now I have to go be angry.

@defn: I agree. Once a raving Palm fanboy myself, I have to say that I'm relatively happy with WM6. Sure, IE is still unusable but everything else runs pretty well and at least you can tweak it and add third-party applications. And of course the killer app is that it integrates just fine with my corporate email. Now how it compares to Symbian I couldn't tell you, but I'd rather have WM6 as a standardized, upgradeable, customizable OS than have the usual crappy OS that comes with most phones.

I mean i would like to hear more about the processor which is probably a 300ghz processor or maybe a 400mhz or 500mhz to go against the meizu phone.

this phone since it has a touch UI interface should be pushing atleast 128mb ram hopefully sony isnt cheap and put in atleast 256mb.

I see the no WinMo bandwagon is predictably up and rolling.

The application windows interface is a nice touch and it looks like you can assign your own windows to be displayed.

I'm not too convinced about its real world looks, i'd prefer one uniform colour.
Being a Sony product, the price may also be an issue.

All in all, a very good effort for their first WinMo device. A powerful platform that needed a major frontend overhaul.

@Gbirrueta: As long as the front end they design covers most of WM functions, this will be awesome. The idea of skinning WM with a XMB like interface seems smart and very Sony-like (from one of the images seen). IE mobile is complete ass, though.

Looks a little large, but definitely worth it for the slide-out keyboard.

The GFX engine seems pretty polished and smooth. I wonder what chip they are using. And it has a really nice resolution (800x480).

3D games? Is this the phone-PSP hybrid that was rumored for such a long time? Cant wait to hear how good its going to be as a gaming phone.

MicroSD? Regular SD-HC would be much better.

I am impressed by the looks, but wont be when i see the price.

@WolfDemon: I have the Samsung I760 on verizon and I love it...i agree most (almost all) of the verizon phones blow big time, but if you looking for a very nice windows mobile device with tons of functionality, the i760's where its at...resembles this sony ericsson too

This makes me want to cry because I'm stuck with Verizon which uses CDMA and is locked down like no other, so even if I could get it, it would have one of Verizon's OSs which revolve around V-Cast which is worthless shit.
