If that was true, I'd smash my window and yell "Dammit!" like Jack Bauer to get faster than 7200 RPM disk action.  But then there's always the maverick geek who goes, "Duh! They didn't zero the drive!  I'll use Data Rescue to unerase the files!" and the vital clues are found.  Actually, they don't mention zeroing, since TeeeeeVeeee assumes you are too stupid to know what that means and they won't waste Jack's ticking clock to tell you.
