I believe this was featured on an episode of "What's With That House" or another similar show.

It's VERY 70's and quite frankly, not appealing on the inside. It's needs some major renovations.

I heard about this on NPR the other day. Apparently it is kinda in a state of disrepair, with a handyman being a recommended buyer. The biggest drawback in my eyes? The retractable stairs which come down out of the craft are broken and stuck in the down position; first thing I'd fix if I lived in it.

for real. i'm from chattanooga and the property is worth way more than 100g's. the view from the mtn. is amazing...while the house had been for sale numerous times, i think one of the stipulations has been that it can't be torn down... on that note, i would pay way more than that (if i had it) for the house and property. I used to love driving by it as a kid.

@cidion: Now that I'm living in Chattanooga again, I haven't been back by this house. Just as you say though, I remember it being for sale all the time as a child, so can't imagine that anyone was too pleased with the place. However, in response to Fountainhead, it's really not far at all from the grocery store and all, but the road to it is quite the b*tch. Only 100 G's? I thought it would be more, but seeing the housing market as it is, well...
