The nerd in me is waiting for something that will orbit the "wearer" like an ioun stone (see [forgottenrealms.wikia.com]). At the very least, you could slap a persistence of vision display on something like that and have a marketing gadget for conventions.

It really shouldn't be that hard to have an autonomous robot "bird" toy these days. I would love to have something that did nothing more that sit on a (solar) charging nest, tweeted a bit, and flew around the room until it need to return. Bonus points for getting them sophisticated enough to flock in numbers. How awesome would that be to see at a trade show?
