I've been a longtime (sideline) fan of Giz, and I was never interested in leaving any comments....... until now.

I think I've found my perfect portable gadget for me, if every spec including $$$ is true.

I've already emailed my brother in Korea to keep an eye out for this phone and buy for me and ship it to the States.

I have Verizon, but for this phone, I am willing to break the contract and switch to any provider that the phone will support.

So, from now 'til July, I'll be praying to every-known-god to men to let me have this phone as advertised!!!

Exactly. Not to mention the 800 x 480 screen and Windows XP and CE license.
You can't even get a good WinCE device (e.g. HTC Tilt) for $400-500 so I can't see this happening either.

casting my vote for the latter.

sidenote, they could have left off the flip screen thing for a phone interface, made the speakers and joystick part of the TOUCHSCREEN, use that for virtual pad, or just make it so you dial from the now flat easily typable slide out keyboard. Oh, and it would have probably shaved some thickness too.

There is no way a full-featured UMPC with 60gb of storage, a 5 megapixel camera, webcam, 1ghz processor and up to NINETY hours of battery life is showing up for $500.

I wouldn't care if it looked like a cinderblock, if it really fulfilled all those promises. I'd be lining up with cash in hand.

I can not see this happening, though. It's either going to cost a lot more than that, or it won't work for shit.

@strider_mt2k: agreed about the keyboard, those raised sides are going to make it difficult for people with beefy hands (me) and someone typing with thumbs.

Thats a pretty big phone but its kind of worth it.
Especially since the new trend of cell phone carriers using wifi services to make calls.
I wouldn't buy it though because of the fact that i dont want a brick in my pocket or on my waist.
If it weighs pounds i'd hate to see it drop on the floor though i dont see me buying this phone but im sure some korean tech lover or tech geek would love to buy one of these.

It's a little chunky, though that can be forgiven because of it's features but my God is it hideous...

There's no read link which is a little odd.

Oh, and one last thing, Engadget were reporting it'll have 4GB of RAM - 4GB? That must mean it's gonna have XP x64 then...

I predict that the frustration level with that keyboard will spill over to hurt innocent bystanders.

I'm also fairly certain that if you took a tube of super glue and attached all the devices that one product replaces to each other the aesthetic effect would be very similar.
