This said, it is not because it's a popup book that it is only intended for kids.

This isn't a teaching aide. Just because it's a popup book doesn't mean it's for kids. I've seen some incredible popup books that would last mere seconds at the adept destructive hands of a child.

I had to go back because i didnt see the W but the i saw that it used the reflection to make a W which was pretty clever.
It is more for adults than children unless its children that already know their alphabet because i think they'll get confused because some of the pages had the letter that goes after more visible than the letter that goes before.
I'd most definetly buy it though more of a coffee table book or maybe a book in your personal library.

They forgot to open that extra page up on the right to show the letter "W", which would be formed by mirroring the "V" through the gutter. Small oversight.

Hey, thanks!! Very cool, I got to see it without spending $19.95. The design and idea is nice, but color and patterned papers would appeal to me a lot more. I probably would have spent $19.95 if it wasn't so blah. But that's just ever-more-stimulus-seeking me.

This reminds me of the awesome pop-up books by Robert Sabuda. Specifically the Wizard of Oz one.

They do some really amazing stuff with pop ups, and my kids love the books, and take good care of them.

I love this and wish I had had it when my daughter was learning the alphabet. Contrary to what Manditory said though, it wouldnt have been destroyed as she had a great respect for books, especially pop up books, since half the fun was trying to figure out HOW they popped up.

actually, this would not be very good for kids. the letters all need to be in the same style to teach kids to differentiate them (so not good for the younger kids who dont yet know the letters). too many pop up thingies will entice the slightly older kids to "explore" (translate: rip and tear).

as a coffee table book, adults would indeed find the plot less than suspensful.
