I have a Tempurpedic bed and would never sell it for any price after all my years of cold weather back pain were gone when I got one. Waterbeds are ok, but if you have a bad back, or get totally screwed in cold weather, go with a Tempurpedic. It's really expensive, but I had so many days of being in a muscle spasm in cold weather I got one. I'll rob a bank before I'll give mine up. If insurance companies spent the money on these they could save a ton on insurance claims for bad backs.

Omg, I'm finally flamed into a response. I sold waterbeds for years, the number one problem with them; the owners. They would overfill them like mushrooms (because they wouldn't listen to the designers) and then complain because they were uncomfortable. No shit. Lots of things don't work right if you use them incorrectly, your car won't run if you pee in the gastank. All waterbeds came with liners so if they did leak, often from punctures, the liner would catch the water. I once witnessed an elephant sit on a full waterbed mattress and it wouldn't burst. It's too bad that they are no longer popular. I miss them. Oh, and by the way, this music thing sounds useless. (Whew! sorry for the rant).

Keith Moon once destroyed three hotel rooms at once using only the waterbed in his room. He called his roadies to his room because he had this great idea to move the bed's bladder (full, mind you) to the elevator. Natually, the bladder couldn't take the stress and the flooding of his suite and the two below followed.

That said, who the hell would give Keith Moon a room with a waterbed???

@Woland: I agree. I had a water bed in college, and when I got rid of it, my back thanked me. Water beds are great in theory and have that sexy mystique, but in reality mattresses are better for EVERYTHING you do in bed.

Yep, waterbeds--especially ones with built-in speakers--can inspire some real emotion. In a waterbed, I think it's kind of fun to lean forward with your arms outstretched while your girlfriend grabs you by the underwear elastic and shout "I'm King of the World!" But hey, I was a film genres minor in college.

They still make waterbeds? I had one when I was a kid and the damn thing near ruined my back. I don't think that the addition of sound would get me back on one. I grant that with the proper mental lubrication (a bottle of Cuervo and a sack of limes) this could be kind of stimulating. Or it could just make you seasick.
