So I wonder where the rest of the sources for this news came from? Just opinion?

And where is the evidence of "human rights abuses" in this recent Tibet incident. All of the news sources say that they have been locked out so they don't know the real situation, so how can anyone tell if there were abuses? I haven't seen any news source present evidence except for speculation from either politicians or from the Tibetan exiles.

Let me teach you a few things. Every country has to go through the same steps to get to a developed economy. There's no such thing as skipping steps. We treated our citizens to the same horrible conditions a hundred years ago. Do you remember learning about that in high school history??? Perhaps you were out back smoking pot when that subject was being taught?

To say that China can somehow perform a miracle and just go from a 3rd world economy to the most powerful nation in the world without mistreatment is just plain dumb and naive. Even today in the U.S., many employers exploit their workers. Why do you think unions are so prevalent in the U.S.?

As far as the currency is concerned. China is looking out for the best interest of China. Nowhere in the United Nations Charter does it say that one nation must do what's in the best interest of the rest of the world or another country. If that's the case, we wouldn't have backed off the Kyoto Treaty or invaded Iraq or blocked China from buying 3Com.
