i have ipod versions of these on each side of my bed that i got a lowes. my thoughts:

1. i'm boycotting made in china in response to their stranglehold of Tibet, this, like everything at lowes, is Made in China.

2. i had to take one of them back immediately because the arm broke, its all cheap plastic where the arm meets the base, so be careful.

3. come to find out later, one of them doesn't charge my ipod. this thing is really cheap, so chances are you'll have to take it back for another one at some point.

other than that, it looks ok for a lamp and is useful sometimes, although i still like to charge my ipod with a plug, strangely enough.

-one will not charge my ipod but i'm too lazy to take another one back again (lowes favorite kind of customer)

-the speaker makes the annoying ipod sound when you leave it on all night.

other than that it looks ok and works good for a cheap lamp. But, like everything in lowes and home depot, i'm sure its made in china. I'm boycotting them for the Dalai Lama, which is next to impossible in this country.
