Yeah it's cool to see it running on a phone... But it's unplayable for all intents and purposes. Tilting the unit to move and tapping the screen to fire? Sounds frustrating to me. Port some usable games in and we'll see.

I don't see why this would be fake, I saw Quake 3 running on an n95 months ago, stands to reason now the iphone should be able to with opengl being added.

Still doesn't make me want one though, need 3g and a decent camera yet

HarHar, like China, Japan and Europe where modile tech is beyond US and the fact that a few years back people was playing tetris and pacman on their phones.
I don't see any phone running Quake3 other than iPhone.

I have a bit of mixed feelings about this. On one hand I'm happy to see people waking up to the reality of what phones can do and have been able to do for years - outside the USA, where things are generally stuck in 1995 when it comes to mobile tech. On the other hand I'm a bit sad to see people have the impression that the iPhone is first in this or even that this must be a fake (because no way could anyone do this). This has been on other devices for quite some time now! There's nothing new or awe-inspiring except for the fact that the iPhone can finally do it too - after being out for almost a year.

Ahh here we go... now we are getting this iPhone ball rolling. First they enable corp e-mail, then Open GL. The capabilities on this device are only really limited by current technology. The platform is solid. Now if they could just figure out a way to get MMS on there cuz I'm tired of e-mailing all my friends pictures.
